The story of Alex More, a struggling actor in L.A., who takes a job working in the Malibu basement of the beloved megastar, Barbra Streisand. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. Buyer & Cellar is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs. More info

Comedian Amica Hunter stars in this hilarious, captivating, and sometimes-unsettling-comedy about skeletons, and the horrors of living in a body. “Amica Hunter’s stand-up set disguised as a serious science lesson is like the mutant love child of Laurie Anderson and David Attenborough” (The Edmonton Journal). No Gravity Theatre
For one night only, gravity-defying acrobats and gymnasts - all the way from Italy - fly across the stage at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center. The show is billed as being “inspired by Dante's most famous scenes, mixed between Magritte and Escher in his surrealist universe” and the theater warns that there is “an illusion of nudity”, if that decides it for you either way. Ali Wong
Ali Wong is a critically acclaimed actress, comedian, writer, and producer known for her breakout Netflix stand-up specials Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife, and the Emmy-nominated Don Wong. Wong stars in and executive produces the Netflix and A24 dark comedy series Beef, opposite Steven Yeun. She brings her new stand-up special to the Mahalia Jackson theatre. More info

The Colored Museum
Originally premiering in 1986, this bold and provocative satire presents a series of 11 ‘exhibits’ representing Black American culture. Described by playwright George C. Wolfe as "both an exorcism and a party", THE COLORED MUSEUM has electrified, discomforted, and delighted audiences of all colors, redefining our ideas of what it means to be Black in contemporary America. Presented by the NOLA Project in partnership with the New Orleans African American Museum. More info

Agua Mole Pedra Dura – Brazilian Connections
The Marigny Opera Ballet presents a premiere of original Brazilian song and dance. A program of two works choreographed respectively by Jarina Carvalho and Diogo de Lima. A journey through the complex, quick and diverse rhythms, the smooth styles of Brazilian music from 19th century on. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Geovane Paiva Santos will compose the scores and lead the ensemble. More info
