Halloween in New Orleans: October 2025
You know, the word ‘spooktacular’ used to really MEAN something in this country. In New Orleans, thankfully, it still does. Does any other city go as hard as us when it comes to Halloween? If you’re in any doubt, just check this line up of scary seasonal events - some for families, some just for adults. We'll list the Haunted Houses and attractions, then events, then the (mostly) adult shows. This list will be regularly updated as we get closer to Halloween, 2025. Happy Halloween month, y’all.
Haunted Houses and similar
Most of these seasonal venues are open for all of October, but this varies, so be sure to check individual dates and book tickets in advance where possible. Also, be sure to check any age restrictions or if it’s appropriate for your kids - the experiences vary in terms of how intense they are.

A choice of spooky attractions including haunted houses and mini escape rooms within a larger horror-themed complex.
The Mortuary Haunted House @ 4800 Canal St
“An unhallowed eve of revelry” at this former funeral home. Open through Nov 4th.
Delaporte Manor @ 1152 Camp Street (through Nov 8th)
A new horror/escape room experience in the city. Do you dare step inside a house where dolls refuse to stay still and some visitors never leave? TICKETS AND MORE INFO

The annual spectacle of Louellen Berger’s front yard boneyard.
Krewe of Krampus/Swampus Returns, various events and locations
The Krewe of Krampus has a selection of spooky events including a Haunted Swamp Tour, Scavenger Hunt and Halloween House Parade.
Zombie Paintball @ New Orleans Motor Sports Park (through Nov 2nd)
You and your fellow hunters will be loaded onto the battle bus and driven through an interactive Zombie Apocalypse. The Zombie Paintball experience gears you up rounds of ammo to hunt and kill real life Zombies from the battle bus.
Frankenstein @ Lafitte Greenway (through Oct 17th)
The NOLA Project bring the horror classic to life in a riotously fun play. READ OUR REVIEW
The Tarot Hearse @ Gracious Bakery on St Charles Avenue (check website for times).
The only place in the world where you can get your tarot cards read inside of a hearse!

Wed-Mon @ Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses
