The city’s own, quirky take on the famous happening in Pamplona, Spain, that takes place during the annual San Fermín festival. Instead of bulls, we have roller derby players on roller skates, armed with plastic bats. It’s a ton of fun, with parties and parades all weekend.

Bastille Day Block Party

The 18th annual Bastille Day Block Party in the original French settlement of New Orleans! (3100 Ponce de Leon Street)

The largest internationally traveling oddities event arrives at the Convention Center, showcasing hand selected vendors, artists and small businesses with all things weird.

20th
Tales of the Cocktail

New Orleans is the spiritual home of the cocktail, and this week-long celebration is a huge event that draws a global crowd. Bartenders and booze industry folk come to the city to show off new developments in the cocktail world, to delve into the history of mixed drinks and generally celebrate. Tickets are available to the public for much of the program.
