The Bower is kicking off the Fall season with a limited-time lineup of September specials featuring fresh, flavorful Lump Crab Meat. From September 10 through September 30, guests can enjoy chef-curated dishes that highlight the delicate sweetness and versatility of this premium seafood ingredient. Prices range from $19-22 per dish. Featured specials include:
 

Roll: Lobster-style crab salad, yuzu aioli, celery, on buttered split-top brioche  
Rosetta: Lump crab, prosciutto, parmigiano,  butternut squash cream, and sage

Pani Puri: Chickpeas, jumbo lump crab, sesame seeds, cilantro, lime, with tamarind and green chili pani
Beef Carpaccio: Arugula, 10yr aged Gouda, pickled shallots, black truffle, jumbo lump crab vinaigrette and aged balsamic

Spicy Celeriac Remoulade: Jumbo lump crab, roasted poblano pepper, dehydrated apples,  preserved lemon and nutritional yeast

COMPÈRE LAPIN HOSTS COLLABORATIVE CHARITY DINNER

On Wednesday, September 24th, Chef Nina Compton will host a very special Collaborative Charity Dinner at her award-winning New Orleans restaurant, Compère Lapin. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Sir John Compton Memorial Foundation (SJCMF), a non-profit organization established in honor of Nina’s late father, Sir John Compton of Saint Lucia. For this very special evening, Chef Compton will join forces with Top Chef winner (season 22) Tristen Epps-Long, 2025 James Beard “Outstanding Pastry Chef” semifinalist Camari Mick of The Musket Room and Raf’s, and Rawlston Williams, author and founder of Caribbean lifestyle brand The Food Sermon. Priced at $100 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), the four-course dinner menu follows:

Feast of the Senses @ Hotel Monteleone

A curated fragrance dinner designed to awaken the senses and explore the thread connecting perfume and cuisine.  Feast of the Senses is a collaboration between Hotel Monteleone’s Criollo Restaurant and neighborhood atelier, Madame Aucoin Perfumes – the first female perfumer in New Orleans. This multi-sensory dining experience takes guests on a journey through five curated scents, each matched with a corresponding course and bespoke cocktail pairings. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the featured perfumes as they enjoy the courses it inspired.  
The five-course pairing menu includes:
  1. Cardamon Dusted Divers Scallop inspired by London Spice by Fragrance du Bois
  2. Earl Grey Tea Smoked Duck Breast inspired by Montabaco Cuba by Ormonde Jayne
  3. Patchouli Poached Flounder inspired by Egypt by Eight & Bob
  4. Tonka Speckled Wagyu Sirloin inspired by Misfit by Arquiste Parfumeur
  5. Lemon Ginger Pavlova inspired by Venice Rococo by Arquiste Parfumeur

NOPSI Hotel Debuts Elevated New Menus Across Dining Outlets

NOPSI Hotel has unveiled all-new menus at its signature dining outlets: Public Service, Above the Grid rooftop and in-room dining. Led by Chef Adam Korbel, the refreshed menus highlight Gulf Coast flavors and seasonal Southern ingredients.

Public Service
At the hotel’s signature restaurant, guests can enjoy a reimagined menu including:
  • Crabmeat-Stuffed Flounder over dirty rice cakes with Creole spice
  • Braised Beef Short Rib with roasted sweet potatoes, crispy pork belly, and red wine demi
  • Oyster BLT with fried oysters, pork belly, and smoked tomato jam
  • Louisiana Duck Gumbo and Crawfish Hush Puppies
Breakfast offerings have also been updated, featuring indulgent takes on morning favorites:
  • Pontchartrain Omelet with crawfish, lump crab, and Gulf shrimp
  • Bananas Foster French Toast, a nod to a Crescent City classic

Delacroix Launches “Catch of the Week” Menu Preview Ahead of Riverfront Debut

Delacroix will officially open at the end of September in Spanish Plaza. Inspired by the food, culture and people of the historic fishing and hunting village sharing its name in St. Bernard Parish, the restaurant offers a refined setting where diners are transported to the rustic cooking of South Louisiana. Ahead of the highly anticipated debut, guests can experience “Catch of the Week,” a rotating showcase of signature dishes from its forthcoming menu, at one of Delacroix’s sister restaurants. Diners can taste a new “catch” each week as a limited-time special at Luke, Domenica, Willa Jean and Restaurant August starting August 25.
  • Aug. 25 - 29 at Luke: Crispy Snapper Collars with Spicy Creole Tomato Butter
  • Sept. 1 - 5 at Domenica: Shrimp Stuffed Duroc Pork Chop and Heirloom Tomato Salad

Toups Family Meal (TFM), Chef Isaac and Amanda Toups' non-profit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in New Orleans, is hosting a special giveaway to fund the final days of their Summer Meal Program – an initiative that aims to feed close to 70,000 food insecure children each summer. 
 
For every donation of $50 or more, supporters will be entered to win a free dinner for 4 at Toups Meatery, the contemporary Cajun restaurant in Mid-City that has earned Chef Toups’ awards and accolades, including semifinalist for James Beard: Best Chef South. Commander's Palace Wine & Cheese Dinners

Locally beloved culinary institution Commander's Palace has some wine and cheese dinners on the horizon, each with interesting pairings. They're part of the Meg & Co Dinner Series, with executive chef Meg Bickford and friends. 

On August 19, 2025, Chef Meg Bickford is joined by local legend, Dan Stein. The dinner will feature wine pairings from their Wine Guy, Dan Davis. A portion of proceeds from this dinner will go to Dan's charity of choice - Dryades YMCA Summer Camp. Tickets can only be purchased in groups of 2, 4, or 6. The party starts at 6:15pm.

The same details apply for September 30th, when James Beard award winning chef and beloved pillar in the New Orleans community, Susan Spicer will be the guest. A portion of proceeds from this dinner will be donated to Susan's charity of choice - Unity of Greater New Orleans.
