Día de los Muertos Festival

A vibrant celebration of life and culture rooted in a 3,000-year-old Mexican tradition. This free, family-friendly event brings the community together to enjoy live music, delicious local food, kids’ activities, shopping from local vendors, a colorful costume contest, and a traditional ofrenda to honor loved ones. If you love brass bands and gumbo – or, better yet, enjoying some delicious gumbo while listening to brass bands playing live in beautiful Louis Armstrong Park – this is the event for you! More info

Try dozens of varieties of po-boys in the Uptown Carrollton neighborhood. It’s a block party with multiple stages of live music, an arts market, and lots of other food for the taking. More info
