HOT TIN BAR & BACARDI TEAM UP FOR SOUTHERN  DECADENCE SOIRÉE
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2023
Hot Tin is partnering with Bacardi to close out the summer and celebrate Southern Decadence; a cornerstone of queer culture and one of the largest annual celebrations by the LGBTQ community. This year's theme - Showtune Sundays. 
 
The evening promises broadway-themed cocktails and cabaret. Admission is complimentary and guests can enjoy $16 hurricanes, and $14 handcrafted cocktails spotlighting an array of Bacardi brands. Attendees will also be treated to swag bags brimming with exclusive mementos, all while savoring hot dogs on the rooftop of the charming Garden District Pontchartrain Hotel.
 
Hot Tin’s Decadence celebration is free to the public and will take place on Sunday, September 3rd, from 2PM- 4PM. For more information, call (504) 323-1500. Hot Tin is located at the Pontchartrain Hotel at 2031 Street Charles Avenue. 
 
THE ULTIMATE LIQUID COURAGE: BOURBON
TUJAGUE’S TO HOST “SAZERAC IN SEERSUCKER” BOURBON DINNER, SEPTEMBER 14TH
Tujague’s, the second-oldest restaurant in New Orleans, is excited to host “Sazerac in Seersucker,” an intimate dinner celebrating bourbon, the American whiskey. Indulge in a specially crafted five-course menu from Chef Gus Martin that seamlessly blends Creole classics while donning your best Seersucker ensemble. Priced at  $135 per person (plus tax and gratuity), each course is thoughtfully paired with an exquisite bourbon cocktail. The menu for the evening follows: 
 
First Course
Bacon Wrapped Gulf Shrimp 
tomato confit, pickled okra, and sugar cane bourbon glaze
Pairing: Sazerac Rye “Savignac”
 
Second Course
Prosciutto Gorgonzola Tarte
apple roasted pepper chutney
Pairing: Blanton’s Boulevardier
 
Third Course 
Duck Spring Roll
bacon bourbon gastrique 
Pairing:  W.L. Weller Special Reserve Trilby
 
Fourth Course
Pan Roasted Pompano
potatoes croquette, jumbo lump crabmeat, bourbon corn sauce
Pairing: Eagle Rare “Sour Eagle”
 
Fifth Course
Le Bête Noir
flourless chocolate cake, sweet double cream, and orange bourbon glaze
Pairing: Buffalo Trace L’Autre Bête
