WHAT: Fans of great music and amazing food and cocktails can keep the celebration going after the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with Jazz After Fest late shows at Peacock Room at Kimpton Hotel Fontenot on both Saturdays of the festival. Performing both nights and acting as musical curator will be Peacock Room favorite artists Da Lovebirds.
On Saturday, April 27, between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight, they will be joined by Grammy-award-winning artist/songwriter/producer Jamison Ross. Also performing on April 27 will be New Orleans-based Kristin Diable. On the second Saturday after the fest, on May 4, Alexis Marceaux will bring the celebration over to Peacock Room. Peacock Room will be serving their dinner menu until 12 a.m., including favorites like the Peacock Smash Burger, Rock Candy Braised Short Ribs and NOLA Hot Chicken Sandwich, or sharable items like the Snack Board. Cocktails will be pouring until midnight, with can’t-miss concoctions like The Jade Dragon, which is made with Roku Gin, Boomsa Cloosterbitter, coriander, pineapple, mint and lime or Rancho Escondido made with Vida Mezcal, Coruba Rum, Campari, pineapple shrub and lime.
