Summer savings: gourmet food is on offer for everyday prices during Coolinary New Orleans
Coolinary New Orleans
The Summer Slump in New Orleans is real, and August is, as ever, the hardest month for our local hospitality industry. Summer festivals such as Satchmo and the like bring a modicum of tourism into town, but it’s mainly locals keeping things afloat. That said, it’s the perfect time to explore your own city if you’re here. Hotels often have ridiculously cheap rates if you’re looking for a stay somewhere swanky and restaurants, too, promote some great deals.
The month of August sees ‘Coolinary New Orleans’ start up, with the city’s finest dining establishments offering curated prix-fixe menus at very attractive prices. Most places are offering two-course lunches for $25 or less, and three-course dinners and brunches for $50 or less.
Here's our pick of some of the best options to try this month - the full list of participating restaurants can be found here.
