PEACOCK ROOM TO HOST DECADENCE BRUNCHWITH KOOKIE BAKER AND FRIENDS

Peacock Room will be hosting a special Decadence Brunch on Sunday, September 3, to celebrate the annual Labor Day weekend gathering with delicious brunch bites and drinks and a sing-along show from one of New Orleans most beloved drag queens and her krewe at Kimpton Hotel Fontenot. The magnificent Kookie Baker and friends with special guest Ben Childress on piano and vocals will perform from 10 a.m. until the Southern Decadence Parade begins at 2 p.m., giving attendees a fun way to kick-off the celebration.

Brunch service will start earlier, at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. Patrons will delight in brunch favorites like the Peacock Brunch Tower, which comes with buttermilk biscuits & jam, bourbon sticky buns, shaved prosciutto di Parma, pimento cheese, truffle deviled eggs, bread pudding French toast & cherry cane syrup, and fresh berries. The menu has plenty of other dishes to impress with the Louisiana Crawfish Benedict, Chef Lanna’s Biscuit Board, Croque Monsieur, and more.

The Peacock Room cocktail menu will also be available with drinks like All Ships Rise with Pineapple Rum, Aveze, house-made Habanero, and Queen of the Rodeo, a dazzling concoction of bold flavors of Grey Goose L’Orange, Trakal, Alma Quinquina, lime cordial, and cranberry. And for every Queen of the Rodeo cocktail purchased, $1 from the sale will go toward supporting the life-saving work of The Trevor Project.

Through a year-round partnership with The Trevor Project, guests who book a stay at Kimpton Hotel Fontenot using the Trevor Project rate code will get 15% off the best flexible rate and donate $10 per night to this important nonprofit providing 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQIA+ youth.
